Description

Primary duties of the successful candidate will be operation of Landfill and Recycling related equipment, which includes, loaders, dozers, excavators, blade, compactor, roll-off truck, forklift, and bailer at the Summit County Resource Allocation Park. Additional other duties will include hauling recycled materials from the drop-off centers, maintaining and cleaning drop-off centers, as well as sorting recyclables at the (SCRAP) facility. Also performs other manual tasks as needed. Chosen candidate will perform other manual tasks as needed.

Typical Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational school desirable.
  • Experience as a heavy equipment operator or a combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job are a plus.
  • Minimum of 1 year operating similar heavy equipment.
  • The ability to obtain a Colorado Commercial Vehicle Driver License (CDL) within 6-months of hiring.
