Job Responsibilities
Provide instruction for the Heavy Equipment Technology program. Instructors will teach students the fundamentals of operation and safety using the following Caterpillar simulators: Bulldozer, Excavator, Motor Grader, Front Wheel Loader, and Backhoe Loader. Maintains a high level of excellence in teaching by communicating and interacting effectively with students enrolled in courses within the program area. Prepares materials needed for instruction and ensuring the readiness of facilities for class activities; evaluation and reporting of students' progress; assigning and assisting students on class projects; creating and delivering lecture demonstrations. Keep student records and adheres to course schedules. Basic computer knowledge is required.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
Five (5) years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator Technician, one (1) year of supervisory or training experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Heavy Equipment/Diesel Technology or related field and (5) years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator Technician or Trainer.
