Are you looking to expand your mechanical knowledge and aptitude? We are looking for someone that has experience with maintenance on diesel engines and heavy equipment, but also someone who wants to expand their knowledge and learn new machinery. As a level I Technician, we would expect that you have experience with heavy equipment repair and maintenance, but understand that we have more industry specific equipment that you will be able to learn.
Are you a team player, but OK working on you own as well? Our maintenance shop works together as a team to complete work orders. However, there are times where you will be assigned a task to complete on your own so having a strong work ethic is important.
Do you have a Customer Service mindset? You customers are your co-workers. Whether you are fixing one of our forklifts, trailers, trucks or Sennebogans, your customers are those who operate that equipment. Rather than putting on a band-aid, we want to provide WOW customer service and fix the root of the problem.
Basic Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles or equipment to identify problems
- Perform breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance to improve reliability of equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair other types of various production equipment
- Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
- Must be willing to perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Basic Requirements:
- Owns and maintains the basic tools to complete repairs
- 1-3 years of experience maintaining and repairing heavy duty equipment and/or diesel trucks
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical repairs helpful
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude
- Engine experience on Cummins, Caterpillar, and Detroit Diesel preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have your own set of tools
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- The employee occasionally is required to lift up to 50 pounds
- Be able to use a variety of tools
