SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Opportunity to teach college-level classes on campus in the Heavy Equipment Operator Program.
TEACHING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include teaching courses in Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) Program. Teaching duties would take place in-person Monday through Friday in block schedules.
Courses will be taught in the block schedule format as follows and instructor has the option to teach one or all blocks:
Other responsibilities include submitting grades by the established deadline and other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and/or the Dean of Current and Emerging Technologies.
Benefits
Competitive salary will be based on degree and credit hours taught.

Minimum Requirements
- Certification in a Construction & Building Technology Discipline area and 5 years of non-teaching work-related experience and a Commercial Driving Licenses (CDL) or an agreement to obtain a CDL.
- Ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups.
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Good computer software skills - Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, etc., electronic Calendar and E-mail, and strong Internet familiarity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in Construction & Building Technology or related area such as Construction Engineering or Construction Management with 3 years of non-teaching work-related experience
- College teaching experience. Experience in post-secondary teaching.
- Experience with Blackboard Learning Management System
- Experience with non-traditional teaching methods such as facilitating group work, use of inquiry-based and other active learning pedagogies, and/or contextualized instruction.
