Hardware Technician

Gromelski and Associates, Inc. (GAI) partners with prime contractors to provide professional services. Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.

Hardware Technician Job Description:

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.  

Hardware Technician Requirements:  

  • Ability to communicate an understanding of acceptance criteria with the customer and team
  • Understanding of basic ethernet cable running
    • Best practices, attention to cable management, attention to safety
  • Understanding basics of Server Racking
    • Best practices, attention to cable management, attention to detail, attention to safety, proper marking 

Hardware Technician Desired Skills:  

  • Understanding basics of drafting and design
    • Best practices, attention to detail, familiarity with the necessary tools
  • Understanding of basics of water fitting
    • Best practices, attention to detail, attention to safety, familiarity with necessary tools, peer reviewed

Hardware Technician Additional Requirements:

·        Candidate must be able to obtain and keep a DoD Secret Clearance which means you must be a U.S. Citizen with no dual citizenship
