Job Summary:
A Hardware Engineer is needed for an American multinational technology company that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells computer software, consumer electronics, personal computers, and related services in the Redmond, WA area. This role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining computer hardware systems while analyzing requirements, building prototypes, and ensuring functionality meets specifications.
Location: Redmond, Washington
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $76.66 - 95.14 per hour
Work Hours: 8am to 5pm
Education: Bachelor's
Responsibilities:
- Analyze information to determine plan layout, including computer and peripheral equipment modifications.
- Assemble and modify existing equipment to meet specific needs.
- Build, test, and modify product prototypes using models or computer simulations.
- Evaluate factors such as reporting formats, cost constraints, and security restrictions to determine hardware configurations.
- Monitor equipment functionality and make modifications to ensure systems meet specifications.
Skills Required:
- Creativity, verbal and written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Team player and detail-oriented.
- Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for creating technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Basic knowledge of telecommunications systems, including transmission, broadcasting, switching, and control.
- Practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Understanding of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware/software, including applications and programming.
- Experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- 7-10 years of experience required.
Qualifications:
- Experience level: Experienced
