We are focused on integrating and launching new technologies from early concept to launch while iterating, prototyping, and realizing the human value and new experiences they open up.As a System HW Technical Program Manager at RL, you will play a key role in delivering new cutting-edge technologies to market. You will be defining and driving highly complex, cross-functional plans for the new product introductions and you will lead the execution including planning of requirements, managing schedules, identifying and tracking risks and associated mitigations. You will be responsible for communication of program status and risk to program stakeholders. In this role, you will have a major impact on future RL products.You will lead multidisciplinary programs through the product development cycle to develop the hardware to drive our industry-leading virtual reality systems. You will establish requirements with internal and external customers, manage program schedules, identify risks and associated mitigation plans, and clearly communicate to program stakeholders. Required Skills: System Hardware Technical Program Manager Responsibilities: Create and lead engineering development efforts for new hardware projects from initial concept to mass production readiness Lead a cross functional hardware development team of PD, EE, FW, Modules, SW, and Operations Develop schedules, identify critical paths and bottlenecks and maintain execution throughout the duration of programs Represent the Hardware function of the project in leadership reviews, core team, and company meetings Effectively communicate program statuses, identify potential risks and setbacks, and develop mitigation strategies Develop best practices and technology development processes Manage prototype hardware builds (Protos, EVT, DVT) with our contract manufacturer Coordinate and contribute to engineering deliverables, including specifications, test plans, reliability testing, and engineering validation Ensure program documents are complete, current and available for staff and leadership review Create and manage project hardware budget Up to 20% travel Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: BS in engineering discipline, physics, or equivalent experience 7+ years of experience as a program manager managing hardware programs from concept to mass production Experience with phase gate approach to technology development projects Experience in scoping and shipping Consumer Electronics hardware Communication experience and experience working with technical teams Problem-solving and organizational experience and a focus on continuous improvement Experience building relationships and collaborating with cross-functional teams Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams Public Compensation: $167,000/year to $230,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Industry: Internet Equal Opportunity: Meta is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action employer.
