The Dojo Supercomputing team is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Technician to bring up systems for research and development. As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment and systems in a data center environment, including chillers, power supplies, and other testing equipment. You will also be responsible for building custom fixtures for prototype assemblies and spearheading design iterations.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and systems, including chillers, power supplies, and other electro-mechanical devices
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems, using tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic equipment
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to fabricate custom R&D fixtures
  • Read and interpret build plans to develop processes, and technical manuals
  • Collaborate with Engineers and other Technicians to design and implement modifications to equipment and systems
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, including lockout/tagout procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage
  • Deploying data acquisition instruments, and communicating data results


Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Technology, Electronics, or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of thermal, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
  • Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other technical tools
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret diagrams, and technical manuals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and tools
  • Self-starter. Able to work independently
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and controls preferred

      $24.40 - $56.40/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits

      Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
