Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Build and assemble prototype network and server racks according to engineering specifications

· Perform complex cabling of network and server racks, ensuring quality and organization

· Support server-level prototype builds, including system integration and troubleshooting

· Prepare builds for customer TRI and FAI, ensuring compliance with standards

· Assist with TRI and FAI tasks including serviceability and mechanical verification

· Identify and communicate DFM and serviceability challenges during the prototype build process

· Rework prototype builds based on customer feedback and engineering changes

· Collaborate with engineering, product development, and quality teams for seamless execution of prototype builds

· Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols

· Document build processes, issues, and resolutions for future builds and improvements

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

• 3+ years of experience in a hardware technician role, ideally with experience in building and cabling server/network racks and server-level builds

• Strong understanding of prototype build processes, cabling techniques, and DFM principles

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering schematics, blueprints, and build instructions

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment

• Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills

• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as needed (up to 50 lbs)

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Knowledge of network configurations and server hardware

• Familiarity with customer TRI and FAI processes

• Hands-on experience with reworking prototypes based on feedback and iterative design changes
