As an Estimator, you'll be the go-to expert for transforming contract documents into accurate, winning bids. You'll dive deep into project specs, review blueprints and crunch numbers, and collaborate with contractors to deliver exceptional door and hardware solutions.

Your Mission (If You Choose to Accept):
  • Work hand-in-hand with contractors through the bid process to secure new projects
  • Analyze scopes of work, ensuring top-tier accuracy and competitive pricing
  • Manage labor cost assessments and coordinate complex hardware/door package bids
  • Review construction plans and specifications, identifying critical components for success
  • Create precise takeoffs and cost estimates using the latest software like Comsense
  • Ensure every detail is spot-on from pre-bid to project completion
  • Estimating projects up to 200 doors
  • Review and verify project designs, specifications, and vendor details, including experience with leading vendors like Allegion and Assa Abloy.
  • Provide accurate material estimates, ensuring adherence to company standards and local codes.
  • Assess customer needs, identify deficiencies, and recommend solutions to code issues.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • 3-5 years of experience in the construction or building materials industry
  • Sharp mathematical skills and a knack for interpreting blueprints
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and expertise with commercial codes (UL, ADA, life safety, etc.)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • A detail-oriented, goal-driven mindset that's always on the lookout for ways to improve processes
Your Work Environment: This is primarily an office-based role, where you'll use modern tech tools like computers and phones to stay connected and efficient. Occasional travel might be required to ensure hands-on success with clients.
