Overview

As the Senior Electronics Engineer, you will design circuits and cables for new products and also support our existing suite of Nokē Smart Entry products. You will have a primary role in all parts of the development cycle, including the initial design, prototyping in the lab, quality tests, performance measurements, documentation and communicating with overseas suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate new components and technologies in preparation for upcoming product designs.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility of new feature requests.
  • Select components to meet functional, environmental, and supply chain requirements.
  • Analog and digital circuit designs
  • Create schematics and board layouts.
  • Inspect manufactured PCB's cables, antennas and other components. Provide feedback to suppliers.
  • Bench test first article samples, product revisions and second source components. Exercise microcontrollers.
  • Assist Q/A team in the design of test fixtures and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Must have the desire to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with passion and enthusiasm.
  • Proficient with Altium Designer, including schematic entry, PCB layout, component definition, and CAD library management.
  • Designing circuits with microprocessors and some experience with embedded (C, C++) programming.
  • Analog circuit design for sensors and peripherals.
  • Digital circuit design including high speed communications buses.
  • Wireless systems and RF impedance matching.
  • Full product lifecycle: Developing circuits from a concept to a working prototype and then transitioning the design to high volume manufacturing.
  • Regulatory compliance and certification.
