As part of our Camera Technologies group, you’ll help design the innovative technology that allows each generation of Apple products to produce photos even more incredible than the last. You’ll design and develop groundbreaking ideas for everything involved in our camera systems, from sensor to lens. You’ll collaborate with teams across Apple to research, design, develop, test, and qualify camera hardware for Apple products.

Description

  1. Support Test engineering team with required test fixtures and validation tools through the entire product design lifecycle.
  2. Help engineers and technicians with lab’s test setups in gathering data during validation process.
  3. Work closely with suppliers to design and fabricate complex camera holders.
  4. Perform FA on fixture related issues and work closely with tooling suppliers to deliver solutions.
  5. Improve the quality of test fixtures by providing mechanical engineering insight.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering with relevant industry experience
  2. Experience in 3D CAD design software
  3. Experience in troubleshooting failures
  4. Experience in GD&T principles and tolerance analysis
  5. Experience in manufacturing processes

Key Qualifications

  1. Proactive and highly self-motivated
  2. Good critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities with strong attention to detail
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Experience with prototyping solutions, optical production-level testing fixtures.
  5. Experience in thermal management solutions, including the use of different materials to optimize heat dissipation.
  6. Strong understanding of automation used in high volume production workflow to improve consistent output.
  7. Project and product management experience is desired.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
