Description:
Bleeding-edge virtual reality engineering firm is looking for a Hardware Engineer to join hardware design team. In this position you will be assisting the FPGA RTL Design Engineer in designing RTL for high-speed interfaces and image processing in spherical camera systems.

Duties:
  1. Collaborate with architect and other engineers to design hardware schematics for embedded systems (video cameras)
  2. Carefully review datasheets of complex parts (FPGAs, Microprocessors) and manage SI/EMI considerations early to design hardware schematics
  3. Layout PCBs and facilitate fabrication and assembly processes
  4. Test, probe, and debug circuits
  5. Occasional hand assembly of electronics
  6. Inventory and manage parts

Requirements:
  1. 3 to 12 years of hardware design experience
  2. Cadence OrCAD Schematic and PCB Designer Professional (Allegro)
  3. Understand how to design embedded systems, including:
    1. JEDEC DDR3+ SDRAM, NAND
    2. FPGAs
    3. Microprocessors (ARM, etc)
    4. High-speed signaling
    5. SI and EMI control
    6. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS
    7. PCB Layout for SI and EMI control
    8. In-circuit debugging
