At eero, an Amazon company, Technical Product Marketing Managers work backwards from their understanding of customer and industry requirements and are able to “connect the dots” between various different eero capabilities and services to make sure that we are building and marketing the right portfolio of offerings to meet and exceed the needs of our customers – and that we’re able to clearly articulate the value propositions of our capabilities. In this role you will leverage your own deep experience as a networking technologist who has worked closely with customers who use wifi technology, synthesize external and internal data from multiple sources, and work closely with eero Product Managers across numerous different hardware, software and services. You’ll help guide feature prioritization, ensure consistency between various different offerings, and own the development of crisp, highly differentiated, and compelling positioning and messaging at both the individual product and the portfolio level.
As eero continues to grow, we are building a world-class marketing organization and seeking a Principal Technical Product Marketing Manager, Hardware. In this role you will develop an overarching marketing strategy for part of eero’s hardware portfolio. This includes strategic business planning, including understanding TAM, target audiences, market segments, business opportunities, and developing go-to-market strategies to serve different customers. You will lead product positioning and messaging, pricing, sales forecasting, research & insights, and provide thought leadership to both the marketing and executive teams at eero. This role is an “end-to-end” owner for Product Marketing of eero’s hardware devices expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams in three primary areas: 1) product innovation and development roadmap 2) lead Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for new products 3) oversee the in-market performance for the products they are responsible for across various customer segments.
This is a highly visible role which you will have an outsized impact. You are expected to be a highly technical product marketer while also demonstrating your business acumen operating as a business owner for the products you are responsible for. In this role, you will deeply understand our customers (both B2C and B2B), the problems they face and how eero is uniquely positioned to solve those problems for them. You’re just as comfortable talking to and teaching others as you are diving deep into our products and learning new technologies. You will work closely with our broader marketing, engineering, product management, sales and customer-facing teams to conceptualize, build, and launch new HW that meet the needs of our growing customer base. This includes technical consultation throughout the build cycle by translating customer and business needs into robust and actionable product specifications. Ahead of launch, co-develop the real world testing scenarios that resonate most with customers to validate the product claims and messaging included throughout marketing activations. Post-launch, you will continue to look for customer-obsessed product enhancements continuously adding value to our existing product line. You will look around corners, analyzing competitor offerings and address eero’s unique value through sales enablement materials designed for key audiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Strategic Narrative, Messaging and Positioning: Develop a strategic narrative framework for messaging and positioning of eero’s hardware product portfolio, individual products and services, that can support our global teams and cross-lines of business, and bring clarity to prioritization across marketing communications.
- Deep Product Expertise: Maintain a deep product expertise by fostering a meaningful relationship with Product leadership; Have a deep understanding of the technical and strategic considerations for our category as well as the key insights or requirements needed for our hardware, software and services to best serve customers;
- World Class Go-To-Market program: Drive eero’s hardware product portfolio strategy servicing different customer audiences. This includes the creation and deployment of the strategy through the launch of new products and releases (hardware, services, and partnerships).
- Research & Customer Insights: Be the expert on our buyers and customers. Own the hardware innovation roadmap for research & customer insights to ensure that customer insights are effectively integrated into the short and long-term product and marketing strategies, leading to more customer-centric products and successful marketing campaigns.
- Competitive Landscape: gather, analyze, and respond to competitive intelligence, including win/loss analysis, in a timely manner that keeps our customer-facing teams confident and educated on how to articulate how eero is better and why we’re winning.
- Hardware Portfolio Management: Own pricing strategy, forecasting in partnership with the product, sales, finance, and BD teams. Conduct business and financial analyses, including forecasting, monitoring, and reporting of key finance, sales, and marketing metrics. Contribute to key business processes such as portfolio planning, program forecasting, budgeting, pricing, positioning, and placement optimization. Prepare and communicate detailed presentations on the focused market area to eero leadership.
- Technical Marketing Lead: Serve as a technical marketing lead throughout the full HW development lifecycle interface with engineering, product management and/or program management to drive new product development programs from concept to commercialization.
- Hardware Innovation & Roadmap Planning: Support early HW roadmap concepts by gathering business and customer product requirements from cross-functional teams and translate these requirements into technical specifications and architectures that are robust, scalable and supportable. Define strategy (new product needs, product roadmap, customers to target, technology needed, technical support to be deployed) and drive the technical support to sales/customers, in alignment with the broader PMM team.

Our customers consist of end users as well as small businesses and internet service providers, spanning B2C, B2B and B2B2C. The team is highly results oriented, and at its core, focuses on driving efficiencies and delivering against our sales and revenue goals.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in an associated discipline
- 10+ years of demonstrable product marketing, Go-To-Market, product management, and/or program management experience with hardware or software programs. (Software product marketing experience is a plus).
- Proven track record of developing and delivering go-to-market plans.
- Superb written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent time management skills. Never misses a deadline and ensures that others don’t either.
- Technical category experience or desire to become technically versed in the networking category.
- Passion for experimentation. Values continuous learning and displays a growth mindset.
- Detail-oriented, but not afraid of failing.
- Creativity; demonstrated examples of thinking outside of the box and bringing creativity to the marketing organization.
- Deep understanding of research & insight, including how to develop research briefs, analyze and apply customer insights to inform a product strategy, marketing program or business objective.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $147,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $330,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
