We are currently searching for a temporary Recruiter for an Performing Arts Nonprofit. The position is full-time, temporary, and hybrid in Vienna, VA.
ORGANIZATION TYPE: Performing Arts Nonprofits
LOCATION: Hybrid (2 days onsite)
POSITION TITLE: Recruiter
SCHEDULE: 35 hours/week
DURATION: Temporary (~3 months)
HOURLY PAY: $35.00/hour
Is This Your Dream Job: The temporary Recruiter will provide HR and talent acquisition support for permanent and seasonal hiring to cover an employee on leave. This position will provide training and coaching to hiring managers on recruitment best practices, process improvement and developing hiring guidelines for managers. This position will also provide general HR and payroll support as needed across the department.

Our Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of full cycle talent acquisition experience
- Experience with change management and process improvement
- Highly proficient HR professional with experience implementing policies and trainings
- Experience with new hire onboarding and season staffing
- Proficient with Paycom or similar ATS software
- Comfortable representing the organization tabling at career fairs and hiring events
- Proficient project manager
- Able to work minimum 2 days onsite in Vienna, VA
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Full-time recruitment:
- Implement effective recruiting and talent acquisition strategies, to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the Foundation
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand position requirements/ideal candidate profile and create accurate position descriptions
- Draft and post openings to Foundation website using Paycom ATS and select additional sites
- Source candidates using various methods including networking, social media, new job posting sites, etc.
- Identify, screen and present qualified applicants to hiring managers for full-time positions; track candidates; coach and guide hiring managers through the hiring process
- Communicate with applicants in a timely manner and advise candidates on the interview and hiring process, ensuring a positive and effective candidate experience
- Conduct reference checks and present offers for full-time positions
- Prepare offer letters and related correspondence; initiate onboarding and background checks for full time employees
- Coach full-time hiring managers on recruitment best practices before and during the hiring process.
Recruiting for Seasonal Positions
- Train and coach seasonal hiring managers on recruitment best practices before and during the hiring process.
- Organize and attend seasonal job fairs and other networking opportunities
- Collaborate with the HR Generalist (Benefits and Employee Relations) to prepare offer letters and initiate onboarding and background checks for approximately 300 seasonal/variable employees (non-union)
- Provide hiring managers and the Senior Director, HR timely and accurate recruiting reports
Other Essential Responsibilities
- Review and make recommendations on process improvement for recruitment/recruitment related processes
- Update internal guides for hiring managers using best practice
- Create and upload promotion and title change notifications into Paycom
- Support in issuing and tracking sexual harassment prevention training, as needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
