Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and driven Clinical Recruiter to join our team and support the recruitment of top-tier clinical professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting Mental Health Therapists, Physicians, or Licensed Clinical Psychologists. This role involves strategic sourcing to attract passive candidates, interviewing, and ensuring hiring compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.
Location: Candidate must be based in Chicago, IL
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Sourcing: Actively source clinical mental health professionals through a variety of channels including the IDFP licensing board, LinkedIn, association boards, social media, industry events, and professional networks. 60% of this role will be sourcing passive candidates, and 40% will be dedicated to conducting clinical interviews.
- Screening & Interviewing: Conduct in-depth screening interviews to assess candidates' qualifications, skills, and cultural fit for clinical roles.
- Job Matching: Match qualified candidates to appropriate clinical positions based on their experience, skills, and career goals.
- Compliance: Ensure that all candidates meet necessary regulatory requirements (e.g., verifying licensure) and adhering to company and industry compliance standards.
- Offer Negotiation & Onboarding: Extend job offers to successful candidates, negotiate salaries and benefits, and manage the onboarding process to ensure smooth integration into the organization.
- Market Knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor hiring practices, and current labor market conditions to provide strategic recruitment guidance.
- Recruitment Metrics & Reporting: Provide regular updates to leadership on pipeline activity and recruitment progress.
- Collaboration with HR Team: Work closely with the HR team to ensure a seamless recruitment process and effective employee retention strategies.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with mental health care providers, clinical organizations, or hospitals.
- Proficiency with recruitment software, Greenhouse ATS, Paycom HRIS, job boards, social media platforms and Boolean Logic.
- Familiarity with compliance issues such as HIPAA and insurance (payer partner) credentialing processes.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of healthcare or relevant recruitment experience preferred.
- BS/BA preferred not required.
- Experience with Greenhouse ATS or Paycom applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other highly preferred recruitment tools.
- Strategic sourcing experience is highly desired.
- Agency and Corporate Recruitment experience desired not required.
- Proven experience in clinical recruitment or healthcare staffing.
- Strong understanding of clinical roles, qualifications, and industry standards.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, licensing requirements, and industry best practices.

- Base compensation: $70-85K commensurate to years of experience.
