Virginia Oncology Associates, the largest group of medical professionals in Hampton Roads and Northeast North Carolina devoted exclusively to cancer care and blood disorders, has an exciting opportunity for an HR Recruiter to support VOA recruitment efforts for all positions within our 11 satellite locations. This is an in-office position that offers the ability to work remote on an incremental basis upon completion of training.

Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced knowledge of healthcare candidate sourcing and immediate engagement practices.
- Engage in and complete full cycle recruitment with preferred candidates ideally within 72 hours.
- Work with the Marketing department to create targeted campaigns to attract and build a pipeline of qualified active and passive applicants.
- Development of candidate facing promotional and informational materials
- Analyze best practices in recruiting strategy and review the organization and culture of each practice clinic or site in an effort to understand the dynamics associated with each specific site/leader to make candidate recommendations to hiring leaders and other associated staff.
- Screen resumes and applications to assess applicant qualifications and review them with hiring managers. Contact qualified applicants and conduct screening interviews. Arrange interviews with hiring managers and other appropriate staff.
- Review job descriptions to ensure appropriate information included for advertisement, internet postings and targeted job boards; negotiation and communication of offer to successful candidates.
- Assist in managing all aspects of the applicant tracking system, including training hiring managers, coordinating access, running reports and maintaining compliance. Experience within iCIMS is a plus!
- Track vacancy trends, turnover rates, and productivity measures for departments and service lines within area of responsibility. Meet routinely with Department Managers to plan and anticipate needs based on business development strategies and changes in patient care delivery; collaborate with Department Managers to coach and assist in developing a recruiting strategy.
- Determine applicant qualifications, verifying references, comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Guide selected candidates through the interview process by setting timeline expectations, appropriately answering questions, and following up in a timely fashion regarding updates to their application status
- Ensure conformance with all federal and state laws governing recruiting practices; Knowledge and understanding of EEOC and OFCCP strongly preferred.
- Maintain files and records of recruitment activities including costs, current applications, special efforts conducted, applicant source data, etc.
- Proactively initiate and maintain relationships with local educational institutions, professional organizations/associations and other job seekers sources and referring organizations related to recruitment portfolio. Help develop co-op, internship and other programs to source and attract candidates.
- Ability to deliver results in a dynamic healthcare environment with capacity to effectively manage multiple, quickly-changing priorities.
- Advanced use of staffing tools such as job boards, and social media (CareerBuilder, Indeed, LinkedIn, Glassdoor, AACN, etc.).
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field required. Applicable recruiting experience may replace BS/BA requirement.
- 3-5 years prior recruiting experience required. Recruiting experience with a focus on healthcare roles strongly preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of recruiting practices including testing, interviewing, reference checks, background checks, and license verification.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws governing equal employment opportunity, especially EEOC and OFCCP.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize according to needs.
- Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications; Advanced experience with ATS systems and online recruitment platforms, experience utilizing and proficiency with Microsoft Power BI; proficiency with IBM COGNOS
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with multiple levels of management and stakeholders.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting with multi-site operations preferred.
