About this role

What a day of a College Recruiter looks like:
- Advises students as to course of study, particular course offerings, necessary testing, and prerequisites. Assists students in selecting a major and program. Assists in understanding educational, personal, and occupational strengths and limitations.
- Coordinates and assists with the planning and implementation of student activities, to include orientation for student outreach programs.
- Qualifies, registers, and monitors students in recruitment and retentions programs.
- Develops and maintains positive relations with the community to promote College partnerships and collaboration. May include working with various groups to bring diversity into the College. Acts as a College liaison for programs and services with outside agencies or community leaders.
- Presents college information to community schools and organizations regarding the College's degree program and certificate programs.
- Directs, audit records and procedures and compile annual reports of Student Outreach Programs. Conducts research and assists others in conducting research.
- Maintains vendors and customer database, including contracts, addresses, and terms.
- Utilizes technology and innovation to enhance enrollment processes and deliver services in a manner that reinforces efforts to recruit and retain students.
- Coordinates and manages program to investigate student problems. Programs may also provide counseling to students, families, faculty, and staff. Assists students with issues utilizing a variety of formats and counsels' students regarding their adaptability to a college environment.
- Plans, directs, and controls the work of people who do not report directly to you, but who provide support to the goals and objectives of your organization.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years of related experience
- Microsoft Office Professional or similar application
- Promoting cooperative behavior and team efforts
- Delivering a high level of customer service
- Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
- Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
- Regular physical attendance required
- Some periods throughout the year will require extended work hours including nights, weekends, and college closures
- Must complete FERPA training within 30 days of employment
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Requires travel between various on and off campus locations
Knowledge of:
