Job Description
KIPP Delta is part of the nationwide KIPP non-profit network of 275 college-preparatory, public charter schools educating early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students. KIPP Delta currently serves more than 1,200 students across 5 schools in Helena and Blytheville, AR.
Job DescriptionThe Talent Recruiter will work to ensure that every KIPP Delta school and program is staffed with talented PK to 12 teachers and school-based support staff. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Talent Recruiter works in close partnership with School Leaders and Academic Team members at the central office to increase the number of highly effective educators working in the organization.
The Talent Recruiter will focus on:
Recruitment and Selection (50%)
Ensure that every KIPP Delta school is 100% staffed with highly effective, mission-aligned teachers and school-based support staff
Build trusting relationships with School Leaders to understand and address their talent needs
Generate competency-aligned job postings and maintain them weekly on recruitment sites; track and leverage posting engagement data to ensure KIPP Delta is reaching the highest quality candidates
Source for high-quality candidates using regional partnerships, applicant tracking systems, LinkedIn, social media, and various other sources
Conduct competency and skill-aligned phone screening of candidates for instructional positions, including teachers and school-based support staff
Conduct talent recruitment activities at various educational institutions, recruitment fairs, professional conferences and other facilities in targeted cities
Plan, organize, and manage the logistics of information sessions and hiring fairs
Network through various touch points with staff members, candidates, and community members to generate referrals and drive more interest and desire in working at KIPP Delta
Develop systems grounded in student achievement data to continuously improve recruiting practices in increase the number of highly effective teachers and school-based support staff working in the organization
Systems Management (30%)
Manage recruitment and selection processes and tools to support effective and equitable hiring across schools; run those processes year-round to ensure schools are filled with top talent
Leverage technology to maximize the efficiency of the recruitment needs of the schools
Partner with the Director of Human Resources and School Leaders to adhere to an overarching vision for talent acquisition and a best-in-class recruitment and retention strategies
Partner with the Director of Human Resources and School Leaders to ensure compelling outreach efforts to diverse pools of candidates for strong, diverse, mission-aligned candidates
Create a local, statewide and national recruitment plan to increase the amount of high-quality hires
Contribute to talent recruitment goal-setting processes and ascertain progress to goals with manager on a weekly basis
Data Management (20%)
Track and utilize talent recruitment data to drive decision making
Manage KIPP Delta’s web-based applicant tracking system
Generate weekly reports on vacancies and applicant matriculation to share with senior leadership
Communication and Customer Service (comprehensive)
Serve as the face of KIPP Delta to external partners and prospective candidates, consistently representing the organization’s values and a top-tier customer service experience
Provide an excellent and consistent hiring manager experience, including the interview and offer processes, via proactive, timely, and comprehensive communication
Manage and monitor candidates throughout the talent recruitment process to ensure they have a positive experience and to ensure that offered candidates accept their offers; proactively communicate accurate timelines and next steps to all candidates and partners across all engagements
Other Responsibilities
Work with the Director of Human Resources on additional projects as needed
3+ years of work experience; experience in teaching and/or talent management preferred.
Knowledge of K-12 education; experience with high performing charter schools preferred.
Strong systems orientation and project management skills; ability to balance multiple projects and priorities with meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills; eagerness to connect with people across in-person and digital platforms while representing the KIPP brand
Track record of outstanding customer service.
Strong strategic lens, problem-solving skills, and desire strategize to achieve measurable results
Strong orientation to data; demonstrated experience using data to achieve goals and optimize systems

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must live within commuting distance of Helena or Blytheville, AR or a surrounding community, or be willing to relocate. This role is 100% in-person. Periodic travel to attend recruitment events and build partnerships is required.
Additional Information
KIPP Delta offers competitive salary and benefits packages. The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 commensurate with experience.
