Job Description
Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking an experienced and motivated Skilled Trades Recruiter to join our team, based out of either Dallas or Austin, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, screening, and placing qualified candidates in various skilled trade positions, supporting clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting for skilled trades, an in-depth understanding of the industry, and a passion for building lasting relationships with candidates and clients alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively source and recruit skilled trades professionals (e.g., welders, pipefitters, sheet metal mechanics, machine operators) through multiple channels, including job boards, social media, networking events, and industry partnerships.
- Conduct in-depth candidate screenings and interviews to assess skill levels, experience, and fit for client requirements.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of candidates for skilled trades roles, with a strong focus on matching candidates to open positions in the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin markets.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their specific needs and expectations, providing tailored recruitment solutions and consistent communication throughout the hiring process.
- Negotiate job offers, salary expectations, and employment terms with candidates to ensure a smooth and timely hiring process.
- Maintain accurate records and candidate information within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive wage data, and workforce demands to provide clients and candidates with market insights.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruiting for skilled trades positions, preferably in the industrial or construction sectors.
- Proven ability to recruit and place candidates in roles such as welders, machinists, pipefitters, and other skilled trades.
- Knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin skilled trades markets is strongly preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with candidates and clients.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple requisitions simultaneously.
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
- Ability to travel occasionally within the Dallas-Fort Worth and Austin areas for client visits and candidate interactions, as needed.
