Job Functions
We are looking for experienced HR generalist with ability to manage complex HR processes, partner with leadership, and contribute to the organization's success.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Business partnership/ support –
- Develop programs to increase employee engagement, partner with HR business partners in talent development, career & succession planning, retention, and support process improvements.
- Provide programmatic support to HR business partners to, retain, develop and motivate people to achieve their full potential.
- Rewards and recognition – Run the quarterly and annual employee recognition programs, as well as anniversary recognition program, provide biweekly input to payroll on employee bonus, reward amount etc
- Leave administration - manage long leave requests, medical leave, FMLA, ensure proper documentation, and approve/deny leave requests based on company policies and eligibility criteria
- Talent management - Work collaboratively with cross-functional and global HR team members to drive annual performance cycles, employee engagement surveys, HR special projects, and broader HR/people initiatives.
- Communication - Establish and develop pro-active communication channels between individuals and groups – local & global Enabler team; business units. Ensure consistency in communications to implement solutions and help scale the business.
- Support key programs like Employee training programs; and various DE&I initiatives;
- Provide support in employee relations issues, either by partnering with the internal HR compliance team or leading investigations/managing outcomes. Provide ongoing support to the business team on any people-related matters, policies, or procedures
- Labor law compliance - Ensure compliance to labor laws ADA; EEOC; FLSA; posting requirements. Partner with the relevant internal stakeholders as appropriate
- Operational Excellence: Involves 40% of HR operational tasks at our Windsor office including
- Compliance reporting/documentation such as OSHA300, Canada T2200 declaration form completion, BLS Surveys, Employer Posters Management across US Offices, Travelers Audit, Handling of HR mails sent to the Windsor office
- Management and execution of wellness calendar
- Management of service anniversary awards for employees in North America
- Support in organizing employee engagement/culture events
Work Experience
Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data and use it effectively to identify trends or issues, and provide solutions based on business needs.
- Advanced level of proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Change management & HR experience is highly desirable.
- Good knowledge of US and Canada labor laws.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Communication: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. Ability to build and nurture trusted advisor relationships with business managers. Strong presentation skills and ability to articulate in leadership forums. Collaborate effectively with HR functions to solve issues.
Qualifications:
- BS / MS in HR preferred
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 4 - 6 years of experience
- Team spirit and a flexible mindset
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to network and establish professional relationships
