We are seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to join our team in Portage, Michigan. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry. As a Sr. HR Generalist, your primary responsibilities will include handling Workers Compensation Claims, managing Employee Relations, and overseeing various HR systems.

Responsibilities
• Efficiently manage and resolve Workers Compensation Claims
• Foster positive Employee Relations and address any related issues
• Oversee the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) procedures within the organization
• Administer Leave Management effectively
• Handle Payroll duties to ensure employees are compensated accurately and on time
• Utilize Kronos UKG for HR management and scheduling tasks
• Operate HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems for various HR functions.• Demonstrated experience in a Senior HR Generalist role or similar
• Familiarity with FMLA and its application in a detail-oriented environment
• Proficiency in using Kronos Workforce for workforce management
• Comprehensive understanding of Workers Compensation and its implications
• Expertise in using HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems for managing HR data
• Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable
• Ability to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with business goals
• Strong knowledge of HR functions and best practices
• Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities
• Good understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
