Job Description:
The HRBP role functions as a trusted advisor and business partner to an assigned organizational unit(s). This position requires the ability to use creativity, strategic thinking, collaboration, and analysis to resolve complex business and HR challenges. Key areas of responsibility include talent development, performance management, talent acquisition, employee relations, organizational development, compensation as well as serving as a champion of employee engagement. In collaboration and partnership with assigned business leader(s), ensure the delivery of HR Services that are aligned with overall business and organizational HR strategy for assigned organizational unit(s).
The HRBP is a consultant to management on various aspects of HR, including talent acquisition and talent management, organizational development, employee relations, leadership coaching and partners with our Centers of Excellence to deliver and implement solutions in the areas of Organizational Change, Leadership Development, Payroll, Benefits, etc. The HRBP should proactively assess and diagnose organizational issues in partnership with Management. Making recommendations and implementing solutions to attract, motivate, develop, and retain employees will be crucial for success.
Additionally, the HRBP will ensure implementation, on-time delivery, and high quality on all HR deliverables and projects. Continuously improve processes and policies to support changing business goals and objectives and assure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulatory agencies.
This job is for you if:
- You have proven experience within assigned HR responsibilities, assess and determine needs, identify resources, conduct research, formulate conclusions, and develop creative solutions to complex Human Resources problems.
- Prepare, present and gain management approval, then develop and execute plans to ensure successful implementation.
- Continually evaluate success of programs and modify as appropriate to achieve objective of modeling competitive Human Resources practices that meet the changing objectives of the business.
- You can consult with operational management regarding current and anticipated requirements and issues in Human Resources.
- Provide advisory assistance to management on complex problems. Create win-win environment for employees and management.
- You can investigate and resolve internal employee relations and grievances. Handle and prepare responses to government related complaints and other quasi-governmental matters, such as discrimination claims, unemployment claims, ADA issues, FMLA requests, etc.
- You can lead special projects per business needs (e.g.: Quarterly success celebrations, various Company sponsored events, Community service events, Affirmative Action reporting, litigation support, process improvement projects).
- You can analyze and interpret policies and procedures for management. Evaluate when changes and exceptions are warranted and make decisions, keeping in mind precedent-setting potential and long-term impact. Provide sound business alternatives where appropriate.
- You can prepare and deliver training based on a needs assessment plus legally required programs.
- You can interface with all levels of employees, including corporate HR, other divisions, companies and outside agencies in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the above responsibilities.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or other related field, plus a minimum of 3 years overall HR related experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment of change and competing priorities. Master's degree, PHR/SPHR preferred, but not required.
- Must have excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proven success in leading change, leading project schedules and managing projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
- Excellent people skills including consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
- Strong multi-tasking and project management skills and strong investigation and employee relations experience.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state employment laws and compliance implications.
- Must desire a high level of autonomy to manage multiple ongoing issues and complex employee relations matters with minimum supervision and with excellent execution.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability for negotiation and influencing change and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams, assigned client group(s), and key contacts representing the organization on contracts or projects.
- Experience with and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment.
- Intermediate to advanced level skills with Microsoft office suite and working knowledge of HR systems (ex: Success Factors, SAP, UKG/Kronos, etc.) is required.
- Must be flexible with working hours to be able to support various shift groups.
Compensation: $77,000 - $125,000 a year
