Job Summary:
The HR Manager at GFI will ensure that our core values of Commitment, Accountability, Passion, Respect, Integrity, and Impact are integrated into all HR functions. This role involves overseeing procedures, policies, and compliance-related issues to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal laws. The HR Manager will lead the HR team and take ownership of all HR matters, including recruitment, performance reviews, wage reviews, disciplinary actions, and learning and development, while promoting our service culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition:
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial and professional roles.
- Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings, ensuring alignment with our core values.
Onboarding and Training:
- Work closely with the Training Manager to design and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to immerse new hires in our culture and core values.
- Ensure new team members understand our commitment to exceptional customer service and how they contribute to this objective.
- Create and manage learning and development programs that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
Employee Relations and Development:
- Provide support and guidance to HR generalists and other staff on complex, specialized, and sensitive HR issues, including reasonable accommodations, investigations, and terminations.
- Foster a positive work environment by developing initiatives that promote employee engagement and satisfaction, ensuring alignment with GFIs mission and core values.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with employees to provide personalized feedback, address concerns, and support their professional growth.
- Work with the HR Director to create individualized development plans that align employees' career aspirations with the companys goals.
- Mediate conflicts professionally and effectively, ensuring fair and respectful outcomes that uphold the companys values.
- Oversee the performance review process, setting clear expectations, providing constructive feedback, and recognizing outstanding performance.
- Collaborates with the HR director to develop and manage employee recognition programs to celebrate achievements and milestones.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Ensure compensation and benefits programs are aligned with industry standards and GFIs strategic goals.
Compliance and Best Practices:
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review and recommend best practices for policies and practices.
- Stay informed about trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Leadership and Culture:
- Model our core values in all interactions and decision-making processes.
- Work closely with the HR Director and higher executives to reinforce the importance of our service culture throughout the organization.
- Promote a top-down approach to cultural integration, ensuring accountability for the organization's success.
Administrative Duties:
- Create clear and concise reports and give engaging presentations.
- Ensure workplace health and safety compliance.
- Maintain employee and workplace privacy.
- Travel nationally as required by business needs and between Miami locations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelors degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate when appropriate.
- Integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Google Suite or related software.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to travel weekly between the Miami Beach and Waterford locations.
