Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Coordinator assists with essential administrative tasks including providing support to employees, assisting with recruitment efforts, and handling payroll processing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Employee Records and Assistance:
- Respond to internal and external HR inquiries promptly.
- Distribute HR-related correspondence or redirect calls to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain accurate records of personnel data
- Guide employees through various HR processes, answering questions related to policies, benefits, and other HR matters.
- Onboards and offboards all employees
- Assists with arranging and spearheading job fairs both internal and external
- Prepare information packets and gather qualified job seekers' contact information.
- Assist with updating and maintaining recruiting log
- Recruitment:
- Spearheads and leads recruiting efforts
- Creates a pipeline of candidates
- Interviews prospective candidates and communicates position details to potential hires.
- Support the recruitment and hiring process by sourcing candidates, conducting background checks, assisting in shortlisting, and issuing employment contracts.
- Support:
- Assist supervisors in performance management procedures.
- Schedule meetings, interviews, and HR events.
- Coordinate training sessions
- Handle employee orientations and onboarding, updating records for new hires as well as compliance
- Reviews and approves timesheets
- Track and set up all new employee company cell phones.
- Reporting and Special Projects:
- Generate reports on general HR activities.
- Contribute to ad-hoc HR projects (e.g., collecting employee feedback).
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to multitask
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to carry, lift, push, or pull at least 20lbs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years previous experience working in Human Resources
- Bachelor's degree-related field preferred
- High degree of Confidentiality
