Position Overview:
The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department and assisting with a wide range of HR functions and ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day HR activities. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals starting a career in HR and offers opportunities for growth in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cultural Engagement: Design and execute programs that foster a positive workplace culture, enhance employee engagement, and celebrate our diversity.
- Talent Development: Collaborate with HR to identify training needs and design programs that align with our brand values, focusing on employee growth and development. Help organize training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs for employees.
- Onboarding Experience: Enhance the onboarding process to ensure new hires feel welcomed and aligned with our brand and culture from day one including orientation, training schedules, and completing required documentation. Assist in the onboarding of new hires (i.e. communicating with IT, ordering equipment, office tours, walking new staff through timesheets/expense reports, etc.).
- Feedback and Improvement: Gather employee feedback on cultural initiatives and brand perception; use insights to continuously improve programs.
- Collaboration: Partner with HR, Marketing, and other departments to ensure brand and culture initiatives align with overall business goals.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on the effectiveness of brand and culture initiatives, making recommendations for improvements based on data and feedback.
- Employee Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, job history, and benefits data.
- Compliance & Documentation: Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies by maintaining proper documentation and filing reports as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with employees at all levels.
- Previous HR experience or internship is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle sensitive information, and work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Creative thinker with a passion for developing innovative programs and initiatives.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
