Job Description
SUMMARY:
The HR Generalist contributes to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and high behavior expectations to ensure a superior employment experience. In this role, the HR Generalist manages the administration of HR operations. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration support to employees, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Responsible for all new-hire on-boarding, which includes mandated background checks and clearances, as well as pre-employment physical requirements, NH paperwork administration and input into Payroll, generation of offer letters, ID badges, and time clock instruction.
· Assists with various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
· Manages new employee onboarding processes, through coordination, setup and presentation of general policies and procedures.
· Administers the compensation program; monitors the performance evaluation program and assists with revisions as necessary.
· Serves as a point of contact for benefits related issues to include; claims resolution, change reporting, and communication of benefit information to employees.
· Maintains alignment with all diversity programs and files EEO 1 report annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
· Conducts recruitment efforts for assigned functional areas within the organization and conducts initial new-employee onboarding processes.
· Handles employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing.
· Responsible for updating and maintaining organizational charts.
· Keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in a timely manner.
· Maintains employee HR files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
· Supports employee relations activities and assists in dispute resolution as needed.
· Performs HR administrative functions to support Bethanna, as well as individual employee requirements and requests.
· Works closely with all levels of management and employees within the organization regarding on-boarding and employee relations activities.
· Process all unemployment compensation requests for information.
· Manage projects as requested.
· Responsible for the administration of FMLA, Workers’ Compensation, and other Leave Programs.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree required; preferably in Human Resources or related discipline.
· Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ HR Generalist experience.
· PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP a preferred.
· Knowledge of current employment laws and practices and HR policies and procedures.
· 2 – 4 years Recruitment experience.
· Excellent PC software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS and payroll systems.
· Must be able to interact with all levels within the organization.

· Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
· Must be able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
