We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Bi-Lingual (Spanish) HR Manager to join our growing team. you will support our efforts and our partners through execution of administrative tasks, including onboarding and offboarding, recruiting, auditing documents, and various employee relations initiatives.

***Must haves: Spanish fluency; extensive knowledge of NJ labor laws; Large multi-shift hourly population experience***

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process, including conducting interviews and making hiring decisions
  • Manage employee onboarding and orientation programs
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations
  • Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees
  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees and managers
  • Maintain accurate employee records and data collection
  • Ability to build ensure professional and informative interactions with all partners
  • Precisely and effectively complete all allocated assignments
  • Monitor, review and assess applicants through various job boards; maintain job postings; coordinating interviews
  • Crafting job postings as necessary
  • Onboarding/offboarding applicants
  • Aid in management of personnel files, I-9’s, etc.
  • Maintain applicant, interview and various other logs
  • Follow the most recent state and government legislative codes, laws, and prerequisites
  • Identifying issues, creating or providing solutions, take actions to ensure that guest- related issues are resolved promptly once received, and provide the best possible outcome for guest satisfaction
  • Manage HR function and full employment life cycle
  • Strong capabilities with Form I-9, FMLA, Disability, PFL, Workers Comp, HRIS management, Reporting, responding to state/government RFI’s, etc.
  • Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations
  • Employee and Labor relations expertise

Job Requirements

  • At least 4 years previous plant operations human resources/recruitment experience required in NYC metropolitan market
  • Must be fluent in Spanish
  • Familiarity with high volume talent acquisition
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detail in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
  • Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction
  • Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, and carry multiple objects
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfort reporting to multiple people
  • Demonstrated success managing a high volume of time-sensitive administrative tasks
  • Ability to persevere through challenges with tenacity and a positive attitude
  • Insatiable curiosity, eagerness to question the status quo, and desire to share knowledge
  • Exceptional attention to detail and deep sense of pride in your work
  • Ability to proactively balance multiple time-sensitive tasks and anticipate next steps

  • Flexible schedule to include day shift, and as needed night shifts and weekends

  • Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds
  • Proficiency in MS Office, working knowledge of Google Suite and possess basic computer skills
