Compensation: $70,000 - $75,000 per year DOE
Overview: Nexus HR is looking for a dynamic and effective HR professional to function as the HR Specialist for multiple client accounts. The HR Specialist manages human resources services and ensures effective HR operations for clients in an outsourced human resources environment.

This role involves providing strategic and operational HR support to client companies, focusing on employee relations, compliance, benefits administration, performance management, and client satisfaction. The HR Specialist collaborates closely with client leadership, HR teams, and internal departments to deliver customized HR solutions that align with each client’s business objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned client accounts, fostering strong relationships and ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Provide expert guidance to client leadership on HR policies, procedures, and best practices that align with their organizational goals.
- Regularly assess client needs and adapt HR services accordingly, tailoring solutions to meet diverse business requirements.
Employee Relations
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Advise clients on handling workplace disputes, and promoting a positive and compliant work environment.
- Develop and implement employee engagement strategies in collaboration with client leadership to enhance workplace culture.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure clients adhere to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, offering guidance on regulatory changes and potential impacts.
- Oversee compliance programs related to workplace safety, labor laws, and HR policies, reducing potential risks and liabilities for clients.
- Support clients with audits, reporting, and documentation, particularly in areas such as OSHA compliance and EEO regulations.
Benefits Administration
- Collaborate with the Benefits team to manage benefits offerings for clients, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Provide clients with guidance on benefits enrollment, eligibility, and claims, helping employees maximize their benefits.
- Assist in analyzing and recommending benefits options that align with clients' financial and workforce goals.
Talent Management
- Partner with clients to develop talent acquisition and retention strategies, including onboarding, training, and career development programs.
- Support performance management processes, including employee evaluations, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Offer advice on organizational development initiatives, including succession planning and leadership development.
Payroll and HRIS
- Work with Payroll and HRIS teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, employee data management, and reporting.
- Assist clients in navigating HRIS systems for employee records, benefits tracking, and compliance reporting.
Strategic HR Planning
- Collaborate with clients to develop strategic HR plans that support their business goals, including workforce planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Analyze HR metrics and data to provide clients with insights into workforce trends, turnover, and engagement levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- An advanced degree (MBA or MA in HR) is a plus!
- At least 3 years of experience in human resources
- At least one year in a supervisory or managerial role within a PEO or similar environment
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Experience with HRIS and payroll systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in client relationship management and consultative HR support
