Job Title: HR Generalist

A reputable inpatient substance abuse and mental health facility is hiring an HR Generalist.

As an HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees and maintaining positive employee relations. You will be responsible for a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and HR policy compliance.

The ideal candidate demonstrates the ability to handle sensitive information, including salary data, with objectivity and discretion. Understands the importance of maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and onboarding: Manage the recruitment process from job posting to offer stage, ensuring a smooth and efficient hiring process. Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and make hiring recommendations based on qualifications and fit.

Workman Compensation, securing coverage and conducting audits.

Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. Handle employee inquiries and concerns with discretion and objectivity, maintaining confidentiality as needed.

Performance Management: Implement and manage performance appraisal processes, providing support to managers and employees in setting goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues objectively.

Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and inquiries. Work closely with benefits providers to ensure timely and accurate processing of benefits-related matters.

HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Develop, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness in their application.

HR Data Management: Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases. Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.

Employee Engagement: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement and morale, such as employee recognition programs, events, and surveys to gather feedback.

Conflict Resolution: Address employee conflicts and disputes in a fair and impartial manner, working towards resolution while upholding company values and policies.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or 4 years of experience in HR roles, with demonstrated proficiency in HR functions.

2 years-experience in substance abuse or mental health is preferred.

Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

Proven ability to be objective and impartial in decision-making and conflict resolution.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Strong computer and organization skills.
