Job Title: Human Resources Director
Location: Corporate Office (Overseeing 8 Wisconsin Locations)
Schedule: M-F, Flexible with Office/Hybrid, Limited Travel (No Overnights)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead HR operations for our mid-sized company of 400-500 employees. Based in our corporate office, this position oversees HR policies, practices, and team support across eight locations throughout Wisconsin. The role offers a flexible schedule, minimal travel, and no overnight commitments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with company objectives.
    • Maintain Team Playbook (EE handbook) including updates as needed.
  • Oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, training, and development programs.
    • Post/Manage open jobs
    • Conduct welcome/exit interviews
    • Develop and maintain onboarding procedures
    • Develop and manage new employee 30,60,90 day check in schedule
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
    • Manage claims for FMLA, Worker’s comp, etc.
    • EEOC Reporting
  • Manage compensation, benefits, and performance review processes.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on HR-related matters.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture that promotes employee engagement and retention.
  • Analyze HR metrics and recommend process improvements.
  • Organize events where applicable
    • Blood drives, flu shots, CPR/AED courses, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles.
  • Knowledge of Wisconsin labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage HR functions across multiple locations.
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to complete projects with little supervision.
