Bart-s Electric philosophy is summarized in the phrase -We give the customer more service than they paid for.- We are looking for a qualified Human Resources Specialist to join our KC Team.


Position Responsibilities


The work of human resources specialists begins when a position with the organization needs to be filled. Our HR specialists, at this stage, may do every from creating and placing job posts to visiting job fairs to other activities to find the right candidates. Once a pool of potential candidates has been assembled, HR specialist then sorts through candidates, select most qualified individuals, prescreens, schedules and conducts interviews. After a candidate is hired, the HR Specialist then oversees and manages onboarding, orientation, and specific trainings and registrations.


When not hiring, placing, and orienting new employees, HR specialists often oversee current employee satisfaction and productivity, ensuring that the workplace is always running efficiently.


HR specialists work under the HR manager. During the hiring process, they generally consult with members of the management team to ensure that the right candidates are being placed into the right position.


Daily job duties of human resources specialists include:


+ Preparing or updating employment records related to hiring, transferring, promoting, and terminating


+ Explaining human resources policies, procedures, laws, and standards to new and existing employees


+ Ensuring new hire paperwork is completed and processed


+ Informing job applicants of job duties, responsibilities, benefits, schedules, working conditions, promotion opportunities, etc.


+ Addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations


+ Overseeing hiring process, which includes job posts, reviewing resumes, and performing reference checks


+ Contacting and coordinating recruitment with schools and other similar organizations.


+ Other duties related to maintaining records, assisting with overseeing insurance, benefits, employee records, insurance claims, training, risk management, and so on.


Position Qualifications


Must have a high school diploma, a college degree is preferred. Prior experience is a plus. Must have great organization skills, computer skills, creative and analytical thinking, be detail oriented, and great with working with other people either via phone, technology, or in person.
