Responsibilities
•Perform regular cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting common areas, including lobbies, hallways, and recreational areas
•Collect and dispose of trash from common areas and designated trash collection points
•Maintain the cleanliness of outdoor areas, including sidewalks, parking lots, and green spaces. Ensure that these areas are free from litter and debris
•Clean common area appliances, such as washing machines and dryers, ensuring they are in good working condition
•Report any maintenance or repair needs beyond your capability to the property manager or maintenance team
•Monitor the property for safety hazards and security concerns, reporting any issues promptly to the property manager
•Interact with residents in a courteous and professional manner, addressing their concerns or requests promptly
•Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and notify the property manager when supplies need to be replenished
•Adhere to safety protocols, property rules, and regulations. Ensure that all cleaning and maintenance tasks are performed in compliance with health and safety standards
•Be available for emergency response situations, such as responding to leaks or other urgent maintenance needs after-hours
Qualifications
•Previous experience in Janitorial, cleaning, or a related field is preferred
•Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and techniques
•Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
•Ability to work independently and efficiently
•Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-oriented demeanor
•Physical fitness and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
•Knowledge of safety guidelines and the ability to follow them
•Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
•A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
•A valid Driver's License is required to complete the essential functions of the position (traveling to different properties, obtaining/transporting supplies, etc.)
•Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands and arms and stoop, squat, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures and inclement weather. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
