Overview

Position Summary

The Executive Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and logistical support to the Executive Director, ensuring the smooth operation of the organization. This role requires a high level of organizational skills, discretion, and a deep respect for Indigenous cultures and communities.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

* Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating travel arrangements.

* Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations as required.

* Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including email, phone calls, and mail.

* Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events, including logistics and arrangements.

* Maintain confidential information with the utmost discretion.

* Manage office operations, including office supplies, equipment, and facilities.

* Assist with financial management tasks as needed, such as expense reports and budget tracking.

* Represent the organization professionally in interactions with stakeholders, including Indigenous communities, donors, and partners.

* Contribute to the development and maintenance of positive relationships with Indigenous communities.

* Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Attention to detail and accuracy.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

* Interest in and respect for Indigenous cultures.

* Position will be exposed to multiple allergens including cedar and wool (sheep and mountain goat).

* Must be willing to travel to local and regional events via plane, car, ferry, etc. as needed

* Needs a valid AK driver's license

* Knowledge of Lingt preferred.

Desired Qualifications:

* Experience working in a nonprofit or community-based organization.

* Experience with database management systems.

* Knowledge of Indigenous cultural protocols and practices

The salary for this position is $60,000 + DOE
