Meritage Homes is looking for an Executive Assistant to perform senior level administrative responsibilities for our EVP General Counsel and team members within the legal department. This role requires the ability to exercise initiative, discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy with sensitive, complex, and highly confidential information in a very fast-paced environment. The incumbent is responsible for providing advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative duties that require broad and comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices.

Meritage Homes is looking for an Executive Assistant to perform senior level administrative responsibilities for our EVP General Counsel and team members within the legal department. This role requires the ability to exercise initiative, discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy with sensitive, complex, and highly confidential information in a very fast-paced environment. The incumbent is responsible for providing advanced, diversified, and confidential administrative duties that require broad and comprehensive experience, skill, and knowledge of organizational policies and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and schedule multiple calendars
- Plan and coordinate travel for General Counsel and team
- Create and manage expense reports
- Plan, coordinate, and administer small and large events
- Develop and edit presentations
- Compose letters, reports, emails, as needed
- Prioritize based upon hard deadlines
Qualifications
- College degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years' experience supporting senior level executives in an administrative capacity
- Experience working for a publicly traded company is highly preferred
- Experience working with corporate legal teams preferred
- Experience working with a board of directors
- Ability to prioritize with executive's priorities; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Advanced level technical skills with Microsoft Office tools, Word, PowerPoint, Excel (analysis of documents), and Outlook required
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Superior organization and project management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information and data.
- Minimal travel required (1-2 times per year)
