Overview:
The Director of Restaurants is an opportunity for an experienced restaurant leader to oversee the full service restaurants in the resort. This individual will be the General Manager of the upscale restaurant and have oversight of the teams leading two other uniquely themed, full-service restaurants. This is a client facing position that works closely with the culinary team and directs the service staff to deliver an exciting and memorable guest experience in the resort's restaurants. This role represents an excellent chance for someone to display their talent by spearheading training initiatives that support the resorts service culture, all the while fine tuning their business acumen in steering the financial performance of each restaurant. Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in restaurant management, including upscale independent restaurants; bachelors degree preferred.
- Ability to interpret financial and operational data and prepare an effective business plan.
- Strong cost control background to effectively manage the financial performance of each outlet.
- Work closely with the culinary team to consistently evaluate menus and develop strategies aimed at increasing revenues.
- Sound time management skills and ability to manage multiple initiatives at the same time.
- A passion for customer service that filters down to all levels of the team.
- Read, write, and speak English fluently; Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
- Have or will complete all relevant Food & Beverage certifications.
- A proven track record of developing ongoing training programs that support the service standards and regulatory requirements of the resort.
