We are in search of an Accounting Assistant to join our team in the construction industry, based in Lake Forest, Illinois. The main role of the Accounting Assistant will be to handle a variety of accounting tasks, such as processing financial transactions, managing invoices, and dealing with payroll data entry. The position also entails maintaining accurate customer records and resolving customer inquiries. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the company's accounts payable and receivable
• Managing the data entry for payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Handling invoicing tasks efficiently, maintaining accuracy in all transactions
• Utilizing QuickBooks for various accounting tasks and maintaining up-to-date records
• Employing Microsoft Excel for data entry and analysis tasks
• Assisting with receptionist duties as required
• Ensuring all payable invoices are processed in a timely manner
• Engaging in real estate-related tasks and leasing activities when necessary
• Managing and creating content for the company's social media platforms.• Proficiency in QuickBooks is essential.
• Experience with payroll processing and management.
• Capability to handle payroll for a workforce of 101 - 500 employees.
• Familiarity with union payroll requirements and procedures.
• Ability to perform receptionist duties as and when required.
• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) management.
• Experience with payable invoices processing.
• Proficiency in using various social media platforms.
• Ability to create engaging social media content.
• Knowledge of real estate industry is advantageous.
• Experience with real estate leasing procedures is preferred.
