We are in search of an Accounting Manager to join a Great Team, Managing 2 others, located in Atlanta, Georgia. This role will be responsible for reconciling balance sheet accounts, maintaining general ledger functions, preparing month-end close procedures, analyzing the P& L accounts, and preparing the yearly budget. This role will act as a key resource for division leaders, providing P& L analysis and ad hoc reporting. 


Responsibilities:


·        Prepare and review accruals and various journal entries for month end processes for various divisions.

·        Perform and review account reconciliations, investigate and follow up on reconciling items in a timely manner.

·        Prepare and analyze monthly budget to actuals variances and provide detailed explanations.

·        Researches and analyzes account activity, taking responsibility for identifying issues, trends. Understands all activity and takes ownership of accounts assigned.

·        Develop and document processes inside accounting and within various business units.

·        Identify and implement opportunities to improve processes.

·        Assist in managing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.

·        Please prepare and review financial statements, making sure they comply with GAAP.

·        Oversee general ledger activities and reconciliations.

·        Assist with the preparation of schedules to facilitate annual Financial Statement and Bank Audits periodically.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proven expertise in handling Month End Close procedures

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Ability to supervise, direct, and review the work of the accounting team (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions)

• Proficiency in using accounting software and other business-related software

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

• Accounting certification, such as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), is plus though not required

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team and to build effective relationships with peers, seniors, and external partners

• High level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information

• Committed to continuous learning and development in the field of accounting.
