Accounting Manager
Trinity Metro is seeking an eager and ambitious Accounting Manager. In this position, the manager will manage various accounting functions, as well as supporting the accounting staff. This position requires a high level of responsibility in maintaining accounting controls as they relate to various systems and programs. This position reports to the Controller. The manager maintains compliance with agency policies and procedures while maintaining accounting controls.

Trinity Metro is seeking an eager and ambitious Accounting Manager. In this position, the manager will manage various accounting functions, as well as supporting the accounting staff. This position requires a high level of responsibility in maintaining accounting controls as they relate to various systems and programs. This position reports to the Controller. Responsibilities
- Assist in leading the accounting department, providing mentorship to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Oversee the review of monthly agency revenue and expenses, guaranteeing accuracy and completeness.
- Supervise and direct AP, AR, Fixed Assets and general accounting functions.
- Develop and refine robust processes that guarantee accurate and comprehensive accounting and reporting for the agency.
- Prepare and validate/review various account reconciliations, encompassing revenue, payables, and receivables.
- Lead the month-end closure and reconciliations process, including managing bank accounts, statements, invoices, and journal entries/general ledger. Ensuring deadlines are met.
- Assist with the agency's annual external audit.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintains highest standards of integrity, including confidentiality of privileged information.
- Strong understanding of accounting and government principles and regulations.
- Ability to meet established monthly close deadlines and clearly communicate unexpected issues.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Communicate effectively with board members, management, and accounting team members.
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum of five years of experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- Three or more years of managerial experience.
- A Certified Public Accountant license, Certified Management Accountant or a Certified Government Finance Officer is preferred.
- Experience in governmental auditing, accounting, and financial reporting is preferred.
