Job Details

SNI Companies is working with a Business Services company located in Middlesex County, NJ who is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will work with the accounting team and assist with A/P and bookkeeping duties. This role is 100% person working on site.

Responsibilities:
  • Process check requests and provide check copies of inquiries as needed.
  • Process weekly California Tax payments and assist with any state or federal payroll audit.
  • Conduct Stop Payments on payroll checks as needed and general banking inquiries.
  • Investigate and resolve returned items from bank partners.
  • Conduct credit card analysis and process expense reports.
  • Provide detailed analyses and explanations of transactions as needed.
  • Utilize financial System to account for all debits/credits and ensure proper documentation has been included.
  • Process drawdown requests.
  • Process monthly commissions.
  • Assist with maintaining SUTA rates in the accounting system.
  • Help with month-end preparation, processing, closing, and reporting.
  • Process EFT transactions and check requests.
  • Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the manager's discretion.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree, preferred in Accounting or Finance.
  • 2-5 in similar accounting position
  • Experience applying financial accounting practices.
  • Experience with Accounting software and basic accounting functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and display initiative.
