The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day responsibilities of our general accounting function, including oversight of all US domestic & international intercompany transactions and accounts receivable related activities. The main duties include maintaining updated and accurate financial records; supervising the accounting staff; training staff, peers, and other employees; improving efficiencies; and managing excellent standards of accuracy and timeliness. The Accounting Manager will identify areas of potential improvement and growth and assist in the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US-GAAP and Moximed policies. The role will challenge you to expand ASC606 experience, adapt to a rapidly changing environment, assess the financial statement positions, and demonstrate critical thinking skillset through the implementation of controls and analysis.
B. Responsibilities
Prepare financial statements and disclosures in conformance to US-GAAP
Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities (i.e. journal vouchers, account reconciliations, commissions calculations, intercompany transactions)
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
Assist with implementation and frequent utilization of ERP system
Administer company credit card program
Oversee quarterly/annual statutory requirements (property tax filings, tax payments, etc.)
Maintain effective processes and procedures to ensure accurate accounting & safeguarding of assets
Provide monthly variance analysis and ad hoc reporting
Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records (i.e. department spending, KPI's, cash flow forecast)
Manage and coach general accounting staff with focus on professional and group success
Direct efforts in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures and policies for the group and the company
Leverages system and technology knowledge to drive simplification effort
Work with Sales and Operations groups regarding various financial transaction activities
Assist in annual audit activities
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A. Education and Training
BS degree in accounting or finance
Accounting certification (e.g. CPA)
B. Technical Requirements
Strong knowledge of US-GAAP
Knowledge of accounting systems and reporting tools
Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts, and using advanced formulas)
Experience in preparing financial statements
Ability to “roll up the sleeves” when necessary to accomplish a goal
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
C. Managerial Experience
7 +years of experience in accounting supervisory capacity
Team management skills and ability to prioritize work and motivate and develop staff
