Beemac Logistics is seeking a talented and organized Accounting Manager to oversee a diverse range of financial and operational functions. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting practices, ensuring a smooth employee onboarding and payroll process, and managing the company's insurance portfolio. Responsibilities:
- Accounting:
- Manage all aspects of staff accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
- Oversee the work of accounting staff (if applicable).
- Maintain strong internal controls and ensure adherence to accounting best practices.
- Close the books monthly and prepare accurate financial statements.
- Work with external auditors during annual audits.
- Human Resources:
- Manage the entire employee onboarding process, from new hire paperwork to benefits enrollment.
- Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
- Maintain employee personnel files.
- Assist with employee relations matters as needed.
- Insurance:
- Responsible for oversight of all current insurance policies.
- Work directly with management team on renewal plan.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar accounting and HR management role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
- Proven experience with payroll processing and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and HR software (e.g., Paylocity).
