Salary:
The Senior Accounting Manager oversee the accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and implementation of a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk.
We Will Count on You To (Role & Responsibilities)
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multiple locations.
- Accounting Operations:
- Ensure all accounting processes align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed schedules for purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, notes payable
- Maintain Fixed asset subledger and capex schedules
- Maintain schedules for accrued expenses, equity, goodwill, intangibles
- Monthly journal entries for amortization and depreciation
- P&L analysis for assigned SG&A accounts
- Actual vs plan variance analysis
- Other ad hoc project as assigned
- Controls and Compliance:
- Support Controller with external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
- Strategic Planning:
- Provide financial analysis and strategic support to senior management, including cost-benefit analysis, financial performance analysis, and other projects as required.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to drive financial performance and achieve company goals.
- System Implementation and Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the accounting function.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of new fixed asset systems.
What Makes You Stand Out (Skills & Experience)
- CPA,Masters in Accounting is highly preferred
- Experience with acquisition accounting preferred
- Advanced excel skills (index match, xlookup, vlookup, sumifs etc)
What You Need to Have (Qualifications)
- Education: Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in ophthalmology or multi-location practice management, is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel). Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Leadership: Proven leadership and team management skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, attention to detail, and decision-making skills.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
