We’re currently recruiting for an Accounting Manager for a reputable, established company that is located in Richmond, VA.
This role will manage a small team of accountants, report to the Controller, and work closely with senior leadership. It will work onsite in the office in Richmond, VA, so the company is only considering local candidates.
Job Summary
Ensure the accuracy of the financial statements by performing and supervising various accounting duties including, but not limited to, month end closing, revenue recognition, customer rebates, leases, inventory and standard costing, account reconciliations, and internal controls.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise three accountants and review of their work
- Revenue recognition controls, analysis, and adjustments
- Rebate accounting and disclosures
- Lease accounting review.
- Monthly closing including account reconciliations, journal entries, and various accruals.
- Inventory and cost accounting review and analysis
- Reconcile US GAAP and management reporting
- Cost center master data maintenance
- Respond to internal and external questions.
- Perform internal controls for assigned processes.
- Design and prepare reports to meet various internal requirements.
- Complete special projects as assigned, especially related to ERP enhancements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS Degree in Accounting
- CPA designation
- Minimum of 4+ years of public accounting or large corporate accounting experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software
- Experience with large ERP systems
- Experience with accounting for a manufacturing entity and/or multinational organization preferred
