Accounting Analyst


Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Analyst to join our clients finance team in a leading healthcare organization. This role will support various aspects of the financial reporting and accounting cycle, including analysis, reconciliation, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be highly organized, and have experience in healthcare finance or a related field. Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Analyst:

  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile general ledger accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts by gathering data, analyzing trends, and providing detailed insights to department heads.
  • Cost Allocation & Revenue Cycle Support: Analyze and allocate costs related to patient services, support the revenue cycle team in identifying areas for improvement, and assist with reimbursement reporting.
  • Audit Preparation: Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and providing responses to audit inquiries.
  • Financial Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function, focusing on efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as Medicare and Medicaid reporting, and assist in maintaining financial integrity and transparency.
  • Data Management & Reporting Systems: Utilize ERP and financial reporting systems to analyze financial data, ensuring system accuracy and assisting with software implementations or upgrades as needed.


Qualifications of the Accounting Analyst:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of accounting experience.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
