Description

Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk will assist in the financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Controller.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Help maintain accurate and organized financial records.
  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payments in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Support financial analysis to identify trends and variances.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
  • Enter financial data into accounting software accurately.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
  • Process all truck sales transactions and validate sales commissions.
  • Ensure sales logs are complete and accurate, along with maintaining files per the retention schedule.
  • Provide support to the finance team and collaborate with other departments as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from staff and vendors regarding financial matters.
  • Serve as backup to the receptionist
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

  • Minimum Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance (internships included).
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as pivot/lookup

  • Able to work until 6:00 p.m. and a rotating Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
