Job Title: Accounting Clerk (Part-Time)

Location: 1175 Terminal Way, Suite 100 Reno, NV
Hours: Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours/week)
Reports To: Business Manager

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our team. This part-time position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting, invoicing, and basic tax processes. The ideal candidate will assist with creating invoices using the company's tax software, ensuring accurate billing to clients, and performing basic data entry and analysis tasks. This role is in-person and requires a commitment of approximately 20 hours per week while having a very flexible schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Creation: Use the company’s tax software to generate accurate and timely invoices for clients based on provided data. Communicate with tax preparers and the Business Manager to ensure the accuracy of invoices.
- Tax Knowledge: Have a basic understanding of the tax preparation process (beginner level) to ensure accuracy and effectively describe services rendered by preparing the invoices.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into company systems with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Basic Data Analysis: Assist in basic analysis of data provided by software, reviewing invoices and reports for discrepancies or errors.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain organized records of invoices, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Communication: Work closely with other team members and clients as needed to resolve billing inquiries or issues.

- Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; some college classes/ coursework in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience: This is an entry-level position for those looking for experience in the tax or financial field.
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of accounting and tax principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work independently with good time management and minimal supervision.
