We want you to join our team as an Accounting Coordinator! We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant and Contracts Administrator. This role will focus on supporting financial operations and contract management under the supervision of the Finance Manager. Primary responsibilities include assisting with accounts payable and receivable, preparing financial reports, reviewing and managing contract documentation, and ensuring compliance with internal policies.
Essential Job Duties:
- Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Support day-to-day accounting activities, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Assist in the management of contracts, including reviewing terms and ensuring timely renewals
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Assist with the daily processing of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Create financial documents such as invoices, receipts, purchase orders, and bills.
- Responsible for timely collection of Account Receivables and customer payments.
- Prepare and maintain documentation for audits and financial reviews.
- Collaborate with other departments for budget tracking and expense management.
- Perform account reconciliations and other reconciling tasks as needed.
- Assist with budgeting, inventory, payroll, and other accounting tasks as needed.
- Responsible for closing Salesforce hard files.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail
Skills/Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or similar roles preferred; internships or coursework in contract management a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficient in double-entry accounting method
- Excellent Math skills
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Experience with Sales Force Software is a plus
- Must be proactive and able to work with minimal supervision
- Detail oriented/writing skills/time management
- Good customer relation skills/team oriented
- Self-motivated with organization skills
- Excellent Communications Skills both verbal and written
Requirements:
- Full-time, in-office position.
- Must be able to pass drug screening, background and driving record checks prior to employment.
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet company requirements for insurance and driver safety record. Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be capable of lifting 50lb box.
