The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Controller to professionalize and scale the accounting function and prepare accurate, timely financial statements. The Controller will also partner with the CFO and VP of Finance to create accounting systems and processes to support efficient growth.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and drive the month-end/quarter-end close process with accuracy and precision
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department including accounts payable,
- invoicing, payroll and accounts receivable
- Ensure accounting compliance with all applicable laws, rules, regulations and Company policies
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial
- statements and proper record keeping
- Manage bank accounts in USD and EUR and adhere to transfer pricing policies
- Prepare and maintain monthly cashflow forecasts to effectively manage cash balances
- Manage and lead audit, banking and tax relationships and drive annual audit / tax processes with advisors
- Work together with the HR team in the areas of payroll and benefits, etc., where necessary
- Manage systems including Sage Intacct, Expensify, Bill.com, Brex and Rippling
- Manage 1 full-time and 1 part-time accountant
- Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in accounting
- Certified Public Accounting designation is preferred
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience reporting financials in multiple currencies
- 10+ years of accounting experience
- Some experience with SaaS / software businesses is required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attentional to detail with a focus on accuracy and integrity
- Exceptional work ethic and the ability to work independently without considerable oversight
- Passion for building scalable processes and documenting in a clear and concise manner
- Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Brex and Expensify is preferred

L2L practices a remote-first approach while offering office space in Burlington, MA. Due to the collaborative nature of this role, there is a preference for candidates in the Greater Boston area.
