We seek a talented, motivated individual to join our company as an Accounting Clerk. As part of our team, you will assist Accounting in different areas like, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the Daily Revenue. The right person will leverage your strong interpersonal skills to maintain good working relationships with managers. Since you will support the month-end closing processes within the accounting team, you must be apt at managing multiple tasks and willing to take on new ones. Our ideal candidate has data entry experience, can pay close attention to detail, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills-knowledge of Coupa is a plus.

Accounts Payable Duties & Responsibilities

  • Verifying invoices for accuracy and completeness
  • Processing payments to vendors
  • Reconciling accounts payable statements monthly
  • Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and issues
  • Generating periodic reports related to accounts payable
  • Responding to inquiries from vendors and internal staff
  • Additional duties as assigned


Accounts Receivable Duties & Responsibilities

  • Answer phones.
  • Research guest Complaints.
  • Email corporate volume invoices.
  • Create Group Deposit Invoices


Daily Revenue Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate recording of all revenues generated in the hotel, reporting any discrepancies promptly.
  • Capture and reconcile daily payments across all departments.
  • Provide accurate revenue reports to upper management for multiple properties.
  • Monitor and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Report all miscellaneous charges and adjustments accurately.
  • Calculate and verify commission payments for catering and convention staff.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Ethical behavior when dealing with sensitive financial information
  • High level of accuracy and efficiency
  • Prior professional experience in an accounting environment
  • Close familiarity with accounts payable procedures, including a solid understanding of sales/use tax policies
  • Strong computer proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Coupa experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
